Macro-Photography in the UNI Botanical Garden was an exhibit in Rod Library during November 2021. 

Boy with Mural in Dheisheh Camp was selected in July for publication in Best of Photography 2018. Photographer's Forum magazine photo editor Nell Campbell selected the top 12% of over 8,760 entries from sixty countries worldwide. This photograph was also selected in August for a Photo Review magazine web exhibition. The mural is a copy of Palestinian political cartoonist Naj al-Ali's work. The text in it reads "My weapon comes out and tells me not to stop fighting for our land". In this case the weapon is a combination paintbrush and conductor's baton. 

Queen Anne's Lace - Daucus carota, from the Specimens project was recently juried in to the Metamorphosis  show at the Darkroom Gallery in Burlington Vermont. The show opened July 25th and ran until September 2, 2018.

Leilah's Garden: The Ant was part of a juried group show, Close-Up, at the 1650 Gallery in Los Angeles. The show was exhibited during July 2018 and featured macro-photography by a variety of artists. 

Leilah's Garden is part of a larger photo-essay about Palestine. Palestinians are like ants, and I mean this in admiration, with their ability to navigate around barriers and impediments. Like this specimen in Leilah’s garden perched on top of a thistle they are also capable of a sharp bite.

Columbus Circle Fog was recently selected "best in show" at Fusion Art's 3rd Annual Cityscapes International On-line Juried Exhibition for the month of June 2018. The Fusion Gallery website is here. The University of Northern Iowa press release is here.

The image was recorded from the main entrance to the Columbus Circle subway station in New York City. The entrance is sunken below street level, allowing the composition to include the globe sculpture on the right and the Time-Warner towers on the left.
